Source: Pittsburgh Post-GazetteDec.迷你倉將軍澳 18--Apple has named Pittsburgh-based language learning smartphone application Duolingo as the iTunes App Store App of The Year.Apple announced today that Duolingo, created by Carnegie Mellon University computer science professor Luis Von Ahn, was the editor's choice for 2013 App of the Year. The free iPhone app, described in Apple's App Store as "fantastically well-designed and easy to use," beat out San Francisco-based photo editing app VSCO Cam and San Francisco-based educational game Endless Alphabet.This is the second major award Du迷你倉尖沙咀lingo has seen during a year full of accolades. In May, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Science granted Duolingo its Webby's People's Voice Award for the best educational app, and it was named one of Mashable's top 10 startups to watch in 2013.As of May, Duolingo had more than 3 million worldwide users and employed 27 people out of its Oakland office.___Deborah M.
