He can return to practice in six weeks but won't be eligible to play until the Lions come back from their bye Nov. 10."I'll still be around, but I just want to use this time to do it right, be smart and hit the ground running," Owens told the Free Press on Tuesday. "It means a lot to me, just personally, that the team is committed to having me around.
