Source: Cape Cod Times, Hyannis, Mass.mini storageDec. 16--When a husband in Bourne entered a rehabilitation facility for alcohol, his wife wasn't sure how long he'd be there.A hard worker when he was sober, her husband had struggled with alcoholism before his most recent fall off the wagon. After reviewing the bills he normally took care of, she discovered the family of five's health insurance had been suspended because of missed payments. This meant the husband would not get the medical help he needed.Because the monthly premium was relatively low, the Needy Fund stepped in to take care of the missed payments so the health insurance would be reinstated. The husband completed rehab, and the family was referred by the Needy Fund to a support group for families of alcoholics so they could get the help they needed.Since 1936, the Cape Cod Times Needy Fund has provided assistance to Cape Codders for a host of immediate, short-term needs, s儲存ch as food, rent, mortgage payments, utility and heating bills, and medical costs. The case described above is provided by the Needy Fund on condition of anonymity. No cash is given to Needy Fund recipients. Instead, the agency pays vendors through a voucher program. All contributions will be recognized in the newspaper unless donors request anonymity.Donations can be made to the Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, P.O.
