Source: The Telegraph, Nashua, N.文件倉H.Sept. 18--CONCORD -- State Medicaid officials confirmed Tuesday there were some "glitches" on private company websites as low-income and disabled residents try to select a new vendor to manage their health care coverage. The problems have been corrected and did not affect the state-maintained website where those on Medicaid or providers willing to offer health care could sign up."There were some glitches with regards to the providers; we believe we have fixed all of that," said Mary Ann Cooney, a former deputy commissioner now working as a consultant in the Department of Health and Human Services.New Hampshire is the 48th state in the nation to offer managed care under Medicaid, and state budget writers are relying on the reform to save $16 million in state spending over the next 22 months.Enrollment packages were sent out to Medicaid clients over the weekend and online sign-up has been available since then.Medicaid clients have until Nov. 10 to choose one of three managed care organizations the state selected to offer this coverage: Well Sense, Meridian and Centene. If clients don't choose one by then, the state will randomly select one for them. Many can opt out of managed care if those clients are children with special health needs or are in foster care or adults who receive Medicaid and Medicare, t存倉e federal government health insurance for senior citizens.State officials said they received a few complaints from residents and providers who had difficulty navigating the MCO websites to confirm if their doctor or specialist was in the network."They may have been trying to link to an outside web site. We had some connectivity issues the first day or so with those. I believe they are all up and running now," said Carol Sideris, director of the division of client services.State officials said they meet daily to examine how enrollment has gone and identify any operating problems with it, she said. There are two direct ways for someone who is currently on Medicaid to choose a managed care company. One is to call the toll-free number, 1-888-901-4999, and take part in a survey that takes six to eight minutes to complete. The other option is to visit https://nheasy.nh.gov and click on the care management icon on the lower left-hand side of the screen. Once there, clients can search the provider directory to determine if their doctor is in any of the three networks.___Kevin Landrigan can be reached at 321-7040 or klandrigan@nashuatelegraph.com.
